A direct and practical approach

You work directly with the person designing and building the website or system, from the first conversation through to launch and any agreed ongoing support.

Operational perspective

Alongside development work, I work within railway engineering and operational environments. That experience has shaped how I think about digital systems: information needs to be clear, workflows need to be practical, and the people using them should not have to work around the software.

It is particularly useful when building portals, reporting tools and internal systems for organisations with real operational processes.

Built to develop over time

Some projects begin with a straightforward public website and later expand to include a portal, booking process or internal reporting tool. Where future development is likely, I structure the initial work so it can be extended without unnecessarily rebuilding everything from the beginning.

Ongoing management

Launch does not have to be the end of the project. Where ongoing management is agreed, I can handle routine updates, backups, hosting configuration, monitoring and continued improvements. The aim is to keep the website or system well maintained and make technical issues easier to manage when they arise.
